Meet Dr. James A. Keyes
Bowie Chiropractor
My career path as a chiropractor provides pride and satisfaction each and every day and I truly enjoy the relationships I have with my patients.
“I had an interest in chiropractic for a long time and often thought about chiropractic care as a career. As a doctor, it provides gratification to help a patient in pain regain their mobility and be absent of the pain that they found to be life limiting. Often, this can occur with a single treatment.”
Educational Journey
Dr. Keyes is a New York Chiropractic College graduate and is a native of Rochester, New York. He earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York College at Geneseo, where he participated in and was published on research on small molecule binding interactions with DNA. He is a member of the Biology National Honor Society. During his undergraduate education he served as a Volunteer EMT. Upon graduation, he worked for Merck Pharmaceuticals’ biological division, GlycoFi, out of New Hampshire where he was in the Down Stream Processing and Purification Group. Following his time in NH, Dr. Keyes decided to return for further education at New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Keyes was selected to complete his clinical rotation at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Miami, Florida. During his time there he participated in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation’s General Clinic for initial evaluations, rotations through Neurosurgery Clinic, Neurology, and Pain Management/Anesthesiology. He had the privilege of observing out patient surgical interventions with the pain management group. Dr. Keyes worked closely on a daily basis with physical therapists, physiatrists, anesthesiologist and acupuncturist in order to achieve the maximal therapeutic benefit for the patient.
Movement is the key to life

In the future Dr. Keyes plans to obtain further certifications to better serve his patients. Combining the latest scientific research with best practices established through clinical experience he delivers patient centered care. “Movement is the key to life.” Dr. Keyes looks forward to helping improve your health and spinal mobility.
